Networking - Local Groups

It is so nice to know you are not alone. Being part of a local affiliate or chapter brings you together with your colleagues in your local community. It provides a network for sharing ideas, resources, problems, and solutions. It give opportunities to band together for the betterment of your community and the children and families you serve in so many diverse ways.

Networking - Statewide and Across the Nation

It is a small world, after all! Through social media and networking events at all four associations, you can connect with your ECE peers all over, learn from and with them, share ideas, and sometime, simply make new friends!

Accreditation Support

Did you know? VAECE supports your Accreditation efforts and CDA pursuits! VAECE membership benefits include your eligibility to apply for VAECE CDA Scholarship and VAECE Subsidy for NAEYC Accreditation (for Accreditation Subsidy one full-time, on-site staff must be a current VAECE member).

Students

Whether you are just starting out in your career or returning to school to sharpen your skills, VAECE provides numerous opportunities for students to engage and learn. In addition to a discounted fee for membership, students also have networking opportunities at local events and conferences, are invited to contribute articles to Viewpoint, and are welcome to join the Student Taskforce and help direct the future for VAECE. Advocacy

VAECE engages a professional advocate and receives regular updates and news on legislation and activities that affect early childhood education. By being a member, you have access to up-to-date news and can participate in advocacy inititatives! Annually, VAECE hosts the Capital Steps Day, where you can visit state legislators, educate them and make your voice heard.

Leadership Opportunities

VAECE is governed by a volunteer board of directors that is comprised of individuals representing all professional areas in early childhood education.

VAECE maintains numerous committees that help further the work and unified mission.

Leadership is open to any VAECE member. Whether you are just starting out or are a veteran who has dedicated years to early childhood education, your involvement is welcome and invited!
