Mission:
The mission of the Northern Virginia Association for
the Education of Young Children is to provide excellent educational
services, information, and resources to the citizens of Northern
Virginia for the benefit of young children.
To fulfill its mission, NVAEYC will:
- act as an advocate for young children and their families;
- foster professional development of those serving in early
childhood settings;
- recognize and celebrate a variety of developmentally appropriate
learning settings for young children;
- invite and sustain a thriving and diverse membership.
Opportunities for involvement:
- Professional development activities including workshops and
conferences
- Reduced membership rates for conferences and workshops
- Networking opportunites with over 900 fellow members
- Opportunites to participate in leadership roles with the
organization
